Middle School Student Ministry

If you could only use one word to describe the middle school years, that word would likely be “change”. Middle school students are beginning an arduous journey where they will transition from being dependent children to independent adults.

The adolescent time period is one of the most difficult life stages to go through due to the immense, rapid and intense changes that occur. Adolescents’ physical attributes, emotional responses and mental cognition will undergo extreme developmental processes.

This often results in doubt, confusion and odd behavior as the adolescent tries to figure out precisely who they are and what is happening to them. Their search for knowledge and understanding often takes the form of experimentation and can reek havoc on an adolescent as well as their family.

This is why we believe that the middle school years are the most important years in a child’s life. However frightening and difficult adolescence may be, we know that God uses this developmental process for growth and maturity.

My team and I desire to walk with students and partner with families through the adolescent years. We earnestly seek to come along side students as they venture through these radical changes and point them toward Jesus Christ and the Scripture in order to help them answer the biggest questions of their life:

Who am I?
Where do I fit in?
What is my purpose?
