Bible Literacy | Learning to Know and Love the Scriptures

starting 1/17/2017
Led by: Ruth Brock
Tuesdays 6:15-8 pm
11 weeks

The Bible is hard to read for many people for many reasons – its length, strange vocabulary and confusing stories. In spite of that, the Bible is a beautifully designed book. It is a unified story that leads to Jesus and has profound wisdom for us in this modern world. Join us as we go back to basics; reading, studying and discussing the Bible in community.  No curriculum, no commentaries; just our Bibles, a journal and a pen.

Better | A Study of Hebrewsbetter-cover

starting 1/18/2017
Led by: Kris Murphy
Wednesdays 10am-12pm or 6:15-8 pm
11 weeks

Join us as we walk through the New Testament book of Hebrews.  Written by an unknown author, Hebrews centers around a simple yet complex truth: Jesus is BETTER. In the time of Hebrews, believers and nonbelievers alike were looking to improve on the purity and simplicity of Jesus. They diluted purity and confused simplicity with religious add-ons. They sought a “Jesus + _____” belief system that the author seeks to set right. Hebrews deletes the add-ons and gets our focus back on Jesus alone. He alone is BETTER.
