Children's Minister (Birth - 5th Grade)
I spent several years working with Senior Adults as an Alzheimer Unit Director and Admissions Director. I love senior adults and still spend time with them today, but God began to grow my love and my heart to include children. As a result, I received my teacher’s certificate and went to work with students in Special Education. When God blessed my husband and I with a baby boy, I decided to spend the next 6 years at home with Gage. We both started school together—he as a kindergartner, and I as a teacher. I taught at Liberty Christian School for 5 years during that time. One of the greatest joys in the past fifteen years of volunteer and paid work in the church and in the school system has been watching children come to different levels of understanding as to who God is and how He fits into their lives as someone who truly loves them. The calling of ministering to children happened long ago, and the reality of ministering at RPC is that it doesn’t feel like a job at all—but an opportunity to get to do something I love every single day.
