RPC continues to monitor LISD, Flower Mound, Denton County, state, and national directives regarding Coronavirus. Until further notice, we’ll be operating online only. We will continue to update you with specific details about our plans and events. It does seem like the updates come frequently, and it can be hard to keep up. If you have questions feel free to reach out to our staff or defer to the directives of the government entities under whose jurisdiction we fall. Like you, we’re eager to see this turn around and life return to normal. We understand that as this plays out it gets harder for everyone in different ways. You are not alone in this. Whether your struggle is financial, spiritual, physical, medical, or emotional, reach out to us at rpc.fm/connect. We’re here. You’re family. Let’s stay connected and remind each other of the hope we share. Hope is not canceled.

Join us online for worship this Easter on Facebook, YouTube and our website.

  • We’ll offer a pre-recorded Good Friday message on April 10 at 5p.
  • We’ll go live on Saturday, April 11 at 4p — or catch it again at 6p or 8:15a on Sunday.
  • Easter Sunday we’ll also be live at 9:30a, and you can catch it again at 11:15a.

We don’t want to miss a chance to connect with you! Check out this video to hear about ways we can connect, ways you can jump into ministry and missions, and ways you and your family can continue to receive good content and virtual fellowship. We’re engaging in social distancing, but we don’t want to be distant — we love our church family and want to connect in all the ways we can. That’s always true at RockPointe, and it’s worth emphasizing during this unusual time.

March 17, 2020 – 6:30p

RPC Family,

Our ministry leaders and elders want to update you on our schedule.

In light of COVID-19 and the recent LISD decision to close schools, activities at RPC are suspended through April 3.

This might be an uncomfortable new normal for you or members of your family. We don’t know how long it will last, but for now, cancellations are all around us. Things we enjoy are canceled. Things we might have depended on are canceled. But it is important to note that hope is not canceled. Regardless of the circumstances, we can hold on to the truth of Hebrews 6:19: We have this hope, an anchor for our soul, firm and secure. What is this hope? Jesus. The unchanging God who knows the future, who holds the future, who keeps us firm and secure.

RPC’s guideline for health and weather is to follow the local school district calendar (Lewisville ISD). The decision by LISD to cancel classes is an indication to us that we should follow suit. LISD’s decision reflects data from local and federal health officials, so RPC Elders and leadership are confident this is a logical decision, not a knee-jerk reaction based in fear.

We will continue to update you through social media and email communication as the situation warrants.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
— Psalm 46:1

RPC Family: Like you, we’ve been watching the news. Psalm 46:1 is such a good and true and timely (even timeless!) reminder that our God is indeed bigger than what we’re seeing there. His hand reaches us; His ear hears us. And regardless of how things appear, He knows all things — much, much more than any news reporter, disease expert or politician. We can indeed find refuge — rest — and strength in this.

Now that COVID 19 has made its way to neighboring counties, and in light of our desire to be prepared, not scared, we’re making some modifications to our RPC calendar.

Our elders and senior staff have decided to forgo in person services in exchange for online services. We’ve made this decision not out of fear, but out of love for our congregation. We are temporarily modifying our church experience, providing a live stream of our Sunday worship service via Facebook. Join us at 9:30 or 11:15 at Facebook.com/rpcfm. You can do church in your home — the like and comment features will be enabled, so this can actually be an interactive church experience.

There will be no activities at church Monday – Friday this week. The RPC mission trip to Del Rio, Texas, scheduled for next week is also canceled. Small groups can continue to meet off campus if members are healthy.

None of this means you can’t (or shouldn’t) continue to engage spiritually, both with God and in fellowship with others. Here are three ways you can intentionally walk in your faith:

  • Pray for your neighbors and those affected. Make calls and check on them.
  • Reach out and share your prayer requests with us HERE.
  • You can support local recovery efforts and the other missions & ministries of RockPointe Church HERE.

Please reach out and tell us how we can help you in this time. We’re in this together, a family walking alongside one another and trusting the Lord for guidance and clarity as we move forward in His refuge and strength.

We will continue to update you through social media and email communication as the situation warrants.
