GriefShare Support Group

Parker Square | Tuesdays | 6:30-8:30p

GriefShare is a grief recovery support group where you can find help and healing for the hurt of losing a loved one. We will meet weekly to provide help and encouragement after the death of a loved one. We know it hurts and we want to help.
FaithBuilders childcare is available, for birth – 5th grade, with registration.

Led by Mark Ohlinger: Mark has attended Grief Share on multiple occasions and has experienced personal loss that gives him a unique understanding of each person’s grief process. He is now married to Gayelen, has 4 grown children, and 6 grandchildren – so far.  He grew up in church and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at age 9.

A couple of his favorite Bible verses are (2 Cor. 1:3-4)  “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

Can We Trust the Bible? – Co-ed

led by Mark Lundborg
Parker Square | Sundays | Jan 22 – Jun 11 | 10:30a <no class Mar 14> – join any time

In this semester long class we will examine the evidence that the Bible is true. We will look at our faith in science, philosophy and history. You can join us at any time. We look forward to growing in our relationship with Christ together.

Mark Lundborg is a husband to Becky, Father of Cole (23) and Kenna (21). His career has primarily been in the building technologies business, various minor hobbies, and a longtime passion for apologetics. He grew up in a family with wonderful parents and a strong Christian heritage on both sides. Came to believe at a very young age, and have made some needed progress continuing on to maturity in each decade of my life. The class will be focused on facilitating good discussion and incorporating expert analysis, while maintaining a strong emphasis on what the Bible actually says.

The Book of John

The Uniqueness of John – Co-ed

led by Eric Bussey & Jack Wilson
Parker Square | Sundays | 10:30a

While Matthew, Mark, and Luke tell us so much of what Jesus did, John’s unique perspective shows us who Jesus is. In this class, we will try to understand John’s Hebrew message written to a Greek world. With input from numerous respected bible scholars, we’ll explore the Jewish history and customs of that time in order to make the words of John come to life.

co-led by Jack Wilson & Eric Bussey:   Jack Wilson moved to DFW from South Carolina to be near his children and grandchildren.  An avid traveler and volunteer, Jack and his late bride, Paula, taught an adult Bible study at Riverland Hills Baptist Church in Columbia for twenty years.  He has been a member at RockPointe Church since 2018.

My name is Eric Bussey and I’ve been married to Jennifer Bussey for more than 26 years.  We have two college age kids. I currently work leading a team in developing communication services. My hobbies are reading, camping, and cooking things on my smoker. I’ve been a Christian since I was a child but didn’t start studying the bible until I was in my 30s. I got involved with a group of believers that were committed to reading, studying and growing in the word of God. They instilled a love for the word that has continued to grow. I love studying with a group and seeing when a passage clicks and there’s an understanding of who God is in a way that hadn’t been seen before.
