We desire to equip and empower parents to be the primary faith trainers of their children through resources, classes, and events.  You can do it!  We’re here to help.

Resources For Parents

RockPointe recognizes parents as those primarily responsible for the discipleship of their children. Our desire is to intentionally come alongside parents so that they are acknowledged, trained, and encouraged as such. Below you will find several useful resources.

Sunday, January 16

Central Campus | Room 308 | 9:15a

Parker Square Campus | Room P126 | 9:00a

Christian parents are naturally compelled to present their newborn children to God. This milestone connects new parents with the magnificent responsibility and opportunity of leading their children spiritually. When parents present their children to God even as Mary and Joseph did, they’re acknowledging two simple facts. First, this new baby is God’s creation and therefore God’s possession. Second, as stewards of God’s possession, parents have the responsibility to intentionally raise the child in a way that’s pleasing to God. In this class, we will discuss what this might look like, and how we at RPC can partner with you on this journey.

The Baby Dedication ceremony will occur at both campuses the following weekend, January 23, during Sunday morning services.

Wednesday | 1/19 – 2/16 | 6:15-7:30p

Central Campus | Room 309

Every parent has dreams for their children and a hope filled with the best of intentions. Although, at some point, parents move from DREAMS to DUCT TAPE and simply hope that everything will just stay stuck together and their kids won’t fall apart. Raising kids is a difficult challenge and it requires a plan—without a plan, parents often default to “Quick-Fix Parenting.” Surviving each day is much easier than taking the time and energy to consider how your current parenting actions are impacting a child’s future. Unfortunately, quick and easy isn’t the same as good and effective.

Intentional parenting is the opposite of quick-fix parenting. Intentional parenting is a way to raise children to become healthy, independent young adults. It’s based on solid principles which, applied over time, actually result in less-stressed parents and happier, better-adjusted, and more successful kids. Intentional parenting means you’ve got more than good intentions; you’ve got a plan.

Raising children in a tech-obsessed social media world is tough. What limits do you put on it? Is it safe? Why can’t kids just put their phones down?

Engage is a five-lesson, practical course hosted by Kirk Cameron that will help you navigate parenting in a social media age. Packed with expert interviews, a hands-on study and resource guide, downloadable tools, and biblical principles, it’s the ultimate tool for not just surviving but thriving as a parent in today’s culture and engaging your children on such a crucial topic.

Holiday Resources for the Family

We are excited to resource you with some amazing ways to intentionally connect with your family over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.  Each Sunday in the coming weeks, the RPC Family Ministry will offer different holiday family resources for you to take home.  You can find these resources in the foyer at our Family Resource Kiosk or right here on our website!

Here is what you’ll find each week:

  • November 7-21 – Thanksgiving: A Family Guide to Gratitude
  • November 28 – Movie Chat Night: “A Christmas Carol”
  • December 5 – Family Activity: “Christmas Gifts from the Heart”
  • December 12 – Movie Chat Night: “It’s a Wonderful Life”
  • December 19 – Family Activity: “Christmas: The Greatest Gift”

We hope you’ll take advantage of these free resources as you plan family time over the next several weeks.  We desire to equip and empower you, as parents, to be the primary faith trainers of your children; and our prayer is that these resources help you a little along the way.

You only know your kid once in the phase they’re in now. You have approximately 936 weeks from the time your child is born until he or she moves on to what’s next. It’s as if they shift or move on just as you’re starting to figure them out. It all makes the responsibility to shape a child’s faith and character feel overwhelming. With the phase project, you can discover what’s changing about your kid, the six things your kid needs most, and four conversations to have with your kid while they are in each phase.

RockPointe’s Phase™ Resource Program provides parents with a Phase™ Summary or Phase™ Book for each of their children’s birthdays (for ages 1-4) or grade level promotions (for grades K-12). Parents will receive a letter during the month of their child’s birthday (for ages 1-4) or during the summer months (for grades K-12) inviting them to stop by the Phase™ Resource Kiosk to receive their free gift from the RPC Family Ministry. The letter will serve as a voucher for the free gift. For more information, please click on the blue button below. Additionally, we offer free Phase™ resources at our Family Resource Center in the main building foyer. Stop by the kiosk to receive your free resource anytime! To purchase additional resources, please click on the button below.

God designed the family as the primary place for faith and character formation. We seek to inspire, equip and assist you to become intentional about building a God-honoring home one step at a time. HomePointe exists to create a culture of intentional families by helping you to understand the purpose and priority of family life.

RockPointe’s Family Resource Center provides you with HomePointe resources geared toward your family’s phase of life, such as raising small children, parenting teens, or engaging grandkids.  Feel free to download the HomePointe resources below, or come to the kiosk in the main building to pick them up…they are free and available anytime!  We will periodically add additional resources throughout the year, so stop by and check it out!
