ROCKPOINTE CHURCH

EMBRACE:
SPECIAL NEEDS

RockPointe strives to provide an accepting environment where individuals with special needs can learn about Christ. For families with children who have been diagnosed with a disability, we will provide a “Buddy” for your child during Sunday morning worship services at either our Central Campus (9:15 or 11a) or our Parker Square Campus (9:15 or 11a). Our “Buddy” will pair up with your child to accompany and help with participation in their age-appropriate classroom.

Embrace Mothers' Luncheon

Saturday, March 23 | 12-2p
Central Campus - NorthPointe

Enjoy worship, community, and encouragement from our guest speaker Colleen Swindoll Thompson.

Consider inviting a friend who also has a child/adult with special needs.

Intake Registration Form
♥ Fill out the Release Form
♥ Complete the Parent Info Sheet
♥ Email Amy Kraus, Special Needs Coordinator, to let her know if you are planning to visit us at RockPointe! We can’t wait to meet you and your children.

A parent/caregiver must attend class with your child on the first visit to help our staff evaluate your child’s needs. This allows us to better serve your child and your family as we place him/her with a “Buddy”.

EMBRACE SPECIAL NEEDS SUPPORT GROUP

This adult support group is for parents (singles or couples) of children with special needs. The purpose is to connect, fellowship and share prayer needs. Childcare drop off is at 4:00p. Childcare will be provided for your special needs child (of any age) and siblings, birth-5th grade.

ENCOMPASS SPECIAL NEEDS GROUP

ENCOMPASS is for students with special needs who are in 6th grade to adulthood. It’s a fun evening that involves music, games, a Bible story, and crafts. Trained buddies are available to join in the fun.

This group meets the second Sunday of every month from 4-6p at our Central Campus in NorthPointe.

EMBRACE ART CLASS

Embrace Art is a class for adults with special needs. Each month the class will create a fun craft that points them to Jesus and the gospel message.

It meets the first Thursday of each month at Parker Square from 6-7:30p in room 108.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

If you are 14 years of age or older and looking for a place to serve, Embrace (our Special Needs ministry), has a place for you! We are looking for people who have a heart for supporting a child by being a “buddy” who helps to mainstream the child into the class or who provides one on one assistance to more individualized needs.
