WHAT

Mission 56 is a weekend missions experience for 5th and 6th grade students at RockPointe Church. Students will engage in different service opportunities in South Dallas for the purpose of developing a heart for missions and preparing for future mission trips.

Saturday, we will be serving with CitySquare. Students will learn how this organization fights the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy and friendship. Service projects for this mission include: organizing food pantry items, creating activity packs for “Food on the Move” summer lunch program, and distributing lunches to neighbors in-need. This mission also includes a poverty-simulation board game which will sensitize students to the realities of life faced by low-income people in our community.

Sunday, we will serve the children of Cornerstone Church in South Dallas.  The kids will set up / tear down and run the annual RPC Cornerstone Carnival. They will interact with the kids and participate in the sharing of the Gospel message.
