Women's Ministry Fall Retreat

Join us for a simple, stripped-down day of practical teaching, acoustic worship, and enjoying community with other women on Saturday, April 30. Our breakout session format will focus on gospel-centered ways to approach different areas of our day-to-day lives. Our hope is to provide opportunities to connect with new friends and leave feeling filled up with more of Jesus.

Kristin Baker

For those of you who want to get your “craft on” enjoy this session where we will make macrame keychains. This craft is simple and something anyone can do. We’ll even provide tutorials to guide you through the steps. You’ll probably even have time left over to visit with your friends, so bring your crew!

Christy McCallum

In this breakout we will examine five of the most common parenting struggles we face as women while raising kids and how we can release them to God. Whether your children are in preschool or the preteen years, all parenting seasons require leaning on the Lord.

Are you brand new to the Bible? This is the breakout is perfect for you. Are you a seasoned Bible study veteran? This breakout is perfect for you, too. Come learn about some fresh approaches to studying your Bible and how Bible study ushers in a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

Discover new ways to make fun and friendship a priority in your marriage. In this breakout we will explore the biblical truths that reveal how marriage is the symbol of the relationship between Christ and the church from Genesis to Revelation. No matter the current state of your marriage, you will be encouraged with tools that help everyone in the circle you draw around yourself.

Marnie Piccin

This fun, interactive breakout will help you learn how to interact with our special needs friends and the families who God is equipping to raise them.  You’ll learn some basic tips for engaging with children/adults with special needs as a church/community.

In this breakout we will discuss how to seek, worship, and commune with the heart of the Father, Son, and Spirit through praying His Word.


More of Him: Navigating Grief and Loss

As much as we wish we could avoid grief and loss, in this life we know that we will endure it. In this unique breakout, learn from and engage with our panel of friends as they share experiences and biblical perspectives on grief and loss.

It’s been said, “Hurry is a form of violence on our souls.” But how can we slow down in such a fast-paced world? God gave us something to combat the busyness; He gifted us sabbath. In this breakout you will learn the history, purpose, and transferable principles of sabbath as well as practically how to sabbath in just four simple words.

What does the Bible say about suffering? How can the Bible help you push through times of suffering with joy and hope? In this breakout, you will gain a unique perspective on finding joy despite suffering. Gain confidence in the fact that you are loved by the Creator of the world. He is sovereign and He knows every detail of your struggle.

Dawn Leath

Do you look forward to spending personal, quiet time with the Lord each day? If not, what obstacles are keeping you from pursuing rich, meaningful fellowship with Him? In this breakout we will discuss different “quiet time” methods that will help you design and prioritize daily time with Jesus you eagerly anticipate!

LUNCH AND SNACKS:
With your registration you’ll choose from two options for our on-campus lunch. Light snacks will be provided throughout the day as well.

WHAT TO BRING and WHERE TO GO:
Bring your Bible (if you don’t have one, no worries!) and all your friends! We’ll provide a journal for any note-taking. Also, feel free to bring a jacket or blanket (it can get chilly in the worship center!) and your own refillable bottle/cup for water and coffee. 

This event will take place at RPC – Central Campus (4503 Cross Timbers Rd., Flower Mound).

REGISTRATION INFO:
Registration fee is $25 per person. Scholarships/discounts for anyone with financial hardships are available by contacting RPC WM at women@rpcstaff.org.

Please be sure to register before 4/17/22 to guarantee lunch selection, breakout options, and childcare availability.
