Ways to Serve
Collect School Supplies
HELP KIDS HAVE A SUCCESSFUL YEAR. As you go, gather school supplies to donate during RPC’s July Collection. Watch for sales, ask neighbors to help or commit as a small group.
Give Someone Else Your Best
DONATE TO A CLOTHES CLOSET. Go through your belongings and choose some of your best clothes and shoes to donate to a homeless shelter or clothes closet. Ready to give?
1st and 3rd Sundays
HAVE BREAKFAST WITH THE MEN OF NEHEMIAH. Join the committed volunteers in South Dallas from 6:45-10:30a and serve alongside the men making breakfast for the homeless and attending worship serves together.
Beautiful Day Outside?
HEAD TO THE PARK! Go grab your gloves, some trash bags, your friends, your small group and pick a local park or a roadside and (safely) pick up the trash and debris around you. Help be a good steward of your town… and make your mom proud while you’re at it!
Care For Our Ministry Partners
We have ministry partners all over the world – each one committed to making a Kingdom impact. Look over RockPointe’s list of local and global ministry partners and choose one each week to cover in prayer. Download the prayer card from each ministry’s page and place the card on your dinner table or on your desk at work as a reminder to pray each day.
Serve Lunch on 1st Monday
SERVE THE GOLDEN ANGELS OF CCA. Join our dedicated volunteers who serve seniors on a fixed income the first Monday of each month from 10:30-12:30. Ready to volunteer?
Collect Much-Needed Items
BELTS, BACKPACKS AND BLANKETS! These items are always in great demand at locations that serve the homeless. Drop donations at RockPointe in the collection bin any time and we will get them delivered.
Share Time and Good Conversation
SPEND TIME WITH LOCAL SENIORS. Grab a group of friends or your small group and visit a local nursing home. Play games, sings songs, sit and enjoy meaningful conversations.
Brighten Up A Child's Day
Collect new stuffed animals and attach notes of encouragement. Deliver them to children battling medical conditions at the local hospital. A great opportunity for kids!
Appreciate Your Community Helpers
Bake goodies to deliver to the local fire and police stations, schools, or leave something in your mailbox for the mailman. Let them know you appreciate what they do!
Be a Small Group Leader
READY TO LEAD OTHERS? Whether it’s as a small group leader in your home, leading a coffee group through Men’s Ministry, hosting Table 246 or leading discussion through our weekly bible studies in Women’s Ministry, leading middle and high school students on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s in Student Ministry, encouraging children in large group or small group in Children’s Ministry, or the many ways we support marriages through our Marriage Ministry, there is a place for you to lead at RockPointe Church!
Commit to First Sundays!
PACK. PUT. PLACE. We invite you to participate in this monthly serving opportunity. The last Sunday of each month we will distribute mission bags after each service. Each bag will have a flyer inside indicating the community partner, mission, or ministry that we have prayerfully chosen to support. We ask that you take this bag and fill it with items listed on the flyer, place it in your car, and return the bag the following Sunday.
