My Family:
My husband, Eric, and I met in Washington, DC in the summer of 2008. As soon as the Lord gave us the green light to be married, we went to the alter after church one Sunday in 2013 and were married on the spot. We later had a traditional wedding but we don’t even remember or celebrate that date. We have been blessed with 2 beautiful daughters with completely opposite personalities. Our rainbow baby, Elayna and our miracle child, Elyse.
My Story:
I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio where I gave my heart to the Lord as such a young age I don’t remember the initial experience. My 6 siblings and I spent almost every day involved in some form of ministry at church. In my freshman year of college, I was challenged to take on the college ministry leader role for my entire campus. This experience initiated my heart for ministry leadership and shepherding opportunities.
I didn’t fully understood the unconditional love of God until I became pregnant with our youngest daughter in 2016. During the pregnancy, I endured an abnormally large kidney stone that caused pneumonia, two rounds of sepsis, 5 stent replacement surgeries, intubation, countless hospitalizations, and uncontrollable back pain. Although the medical professionals would prompt us to choose between my life and our unborn child’s life before each surgery, she was born on May 19, 2017 and is still thriving today! Through all of this, the Lord remained faithful and allowed me to experience Shalom in the storm. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
This testimony is why I am determined and inspired to share the Good News of Christ so others have the opportunity to experience this Shalom, no matter where they are in life. I am so thankful the Lord led us to RockPointe where the opportunities to evangelize are endless. Because I am the oldest of 7, I find joy in cultivating an environment where diverse personalities can coexist and thrive. It is no mistake that after 8 years of corporate experience in human resources, God opened the door for me to marry my professional skills with my love for ministry in my role here at RockPointe.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24. Life has not always been good, but God has always been Faithful.
Something Most People Don’t Know:
I almost lost my right thumb completely when I was 16. After surgery it was reattached but it still doesn’t bend.
My Trademark Expression:
Don’t allow where you are be who you are, be who you are where you are.
