Husband: Brian, Children: three grown daughters and their amazing guys and four beautiful grandchildren.
Marriage & Family Ministry wasn’t even on our radar when we married in 1980, but became a passion for us in 1991 when we attended a FamilyLife marriage getaway in Anchorage, Alaska. During that weekend, we had a “light bulb” moment where God clearly called us to pursue opportunities for equipping couples to experience life-long, thriving and God-honoring marriages. Over the years while serving full-time with FamilyLife, our efforts became more focused on serving the local church through marriage ministry. God has blessed us beyond measure by bringing us to and allowing us to serve at RockPointe.
Something Most People Don’t Know:
I can write backward in print and in cursive. Be jealous. Also, I’ve been called an “audiophile” – I love listening to music, but it MUST be exceptional quality sound. Don’t judge.
My Trademark Expression:
“Why are all the comfortable shoes so ugly?” “Okie, dokie.”
Besides the Bible, my recommended reading would be:
The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie O’Martian
A Lasting Promise – A Christian Guide to Fighting for Your Marriage by Stanley, Trathen, McCain, and Bryan
I’m most excited about:
When God transforms a life and I get to witness it, seeing couples’ marriages strengthened and restored, traveling to interesting places with Brian, and of course, GRANDCHILDREN!
My favorite TV shows:
“NCIS,” “Madame Secretary,” “Masterpiece Theater” (BBC).
In my free time, I usually:
Listen to music, play with my paints and oil pastels, and catch up on our recorded TV shows.
