I have been married to my precious husband, Mike Davis, since 2001. We were blessed with our daughter, Anna, in 2004. She claims our dog, Bear, as her brother. We love to eat out and travel together (except for Bear who stays home). I am so grateful that I get to serve with my best friend and husband in the Small Group Ministry.
When I look back on my life, I can clearly see the Lord’s hand upon me, drawing me to Him even in the midst of my non-Christian upbringing. My mother died when I was 11 after a long battle with cancer. I grew up with my older brothers and alcoholic father. I longed to understand God and heaven where I believed my mother was and where all other good people eventually go but I had no idea. I wondered if my mom could hear me if I prayed to her. There was no church nor Christian in my life to explain anything to me. I searched for answers in books and music, like the secular album, “Jesus Christ Superstar” but they left my soul hungry. Then, one day in God’s divine timing, I met a sweet family who invited me to join them in neighborhood pick-up sports games and to meals in their home. They were fun, kind, joy-filled and welcoming. They soon invited me to church and Bible studies in their home led by their father, the pastor. There, I heard words of life and they were delicious! I asked more and more questions until I finally realized the answer I had longed for was Jesus and that He was the only way to heaven. After receiving Christ as my Savior, I grew in my faith and continued to study the Bible, finding words that transformed and blessed me. God had faithfully protected me and gave me a hunger and thirst for Him which made my heart open to Jesus who was evident in that pastor’s family. Now, my current family has been attending RockPointe since January 2007. My husband, Mike and I have been involved in small groups most of that time and have had the privilege to lead the ministry together since January 2017. God is good and faithful!
