GRIEFSHARE

A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week, video-based support group program, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. You will learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

Tell Me More About GriefShare…

We offer GriefShare in the Spring and the Fall. You can join at anytime. We charge a registration fee of $20 (meals and materials are included). FaithBuilders childcare is available, from birth – 5th grade, with registration. We meet at RockPointe Church, 500 Parker Square, Flower Mound TX 75028.

We would like to start introducing our volunteer team to you:

Tonya Curtis began attending GriefShare after the loss of her husband in April 2022.  She has also lost both her parents and father-in-law. With each loss, she relied heavily on her faith in Jesus for strength and comfort and it is her desire to be able to help others in the grief process.  She has 2 daughters, 1 son, 2 sons-in-law and 1 granddaughter.  Born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, she grew up in church and accepted Jesus at age 14.

Mark Ohlinger has attended Grief Share on multiple occasions and has experienced personal loss that gives him a unique understanding of each person’s grief process. He is now married to Gayelen, has 4 grown children, and 6 grandchildren – so far. He grew up in church and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at age 9.

Marcie Rumsey has attended several Grief Share sessions, beginning with the loss of her father. Through this process she has developed a desire for helping others going through loss. She is married to Greg, they have two sons, and she has been on staff at RockPointe for 8 years in the Connections Ministry. She grew up going to church in New York and loves that Texas has been her home for 30 years.

Some of our favorite Bible verses are (2 Cor. 1:3-4) “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
