NEXTGEN MINISTRY
Nursery and Preschool leaders create a loving, caring environment for infants through PreK children during each worship service. Volunteers engage in age-appropriate play, worship, crafts, and lessons with children in fun and creative ways.
Using the assigned curriculum and activities as a guide, Small Group Leaders teach Bible study lessons to children in grade level small groups. Small Group Leaders also connect with children on a deeper level through prayer, discussion questions, games, etc.
Student Leaders (12-17 years) help the Small Group Leader and play an active role in the classroom by engaging kids in the lesson, connecting children with one another, leading activities and discussions, and modeling worship and active listening.
Using the assigned curriculum as a guide, storytellers and large group leaders present lessons (20-30 minutes) in an engaging and effective way. As a large group leader, you will want to be comfortable teaching in front of a large group of children and the adults.
The Host will energetically greet the children during large group and lead them in a game which goes along with the lesson for the day. The Host will also periodically interact with the large group leader during large group with some minor acting parts.
The Student Ministry Leader for 6th-12th graders facilitates grade level small group time with the goal of going deeper into the lesson, building community, and fostering interactive discussions. The heart of Student Ministry is to help students grow an independent faith and our leaders walk alongside students on that journey.
Ignite Kids offers children in 1st-5th grade an amazing opportunity to grow in both discipleship and a skill, while encouraging community with other kids. Small Group Leaders and Helpers lead a group of 8-12 children by engaging them in the lesson or activity, by connecting them to one another, and by modeling worship and active listening. Skill Leaders teach or guide children in a specific skill such as choir, acting, dance, or outdoor activities. Discipleship Leaders teach a discipleship track focusing on building biblical foundations, growing and deepening relationships with Christ, or developing leadership skills.
Wednesdays in Student Ministry is an opportunity for 6th-12th graders to dive deeper into their faith and develop meaningful Biblical community. Wednesday night leaders disciple, mentor, and challenge students while encouraging community and authenticity with one another.
Welcome Team volunteers greet families as they enter RockPointe and guide them through the process of checking in via our computer system. Welcome Team volunteers also engage first time visitor families by walking them through the registration process, showing them to their classrooms, and making introductions to the staff and volunteers. The team also ensures that all volunteers have checked in and have a name tag.
The Worship Team, consisting of vocalists and instrumentalists, will musically lead children and students in praise and worship during Sunday RPC Kids or Student Ministry programming.
Media team members run the audio visual equipment for large group, which includes sound for worship, sound effects and visual aids for the lesson, slides, and other media. Training is required on all equipment so that members are prepared to use lights, sound, visual projections, sound effects and other media programs to support large group and transitions in the worship order.
Embrade buddies provide one on one assistance to children or adults with special needs. These buddies help them navigate church by providing care and resources to allow them to enjoy mainstream classroom participation or by providing individualized care based on the level of need.
