About Your Family
My husband Blake and I have been married since 2008. We have two wonderful boys, Carter and Greyson.
What’s your story?
I came to know the Lord in 7th grade through my school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes program. All my friends went so I tagged along. It wasn’t long before I realized that I wanted a relationship with Jesus and I accepted him as my Savior. I slowly began getting involved in my local church by attending with my best friend. Eventually, I began leading in our youth group. I knew I had always been called to teaching/coaching and so I pursued that in college and taught high school Professional Communications and coached softball and volleyball in Denton ISD. After 6 years, I was blessed to be able to stay home with my boys. I never really envisioned going into ministry until I got involved with our Women’s Ministry here at RockPointe. I knew there was something incredibly special about that group. My first Women’s Bible study here in 2015 made a lasting impression on my life, so I’m extremely excited to now get to serve alongside some of the ladies that made a huge impact on my walk with Christ.
What’s something about you most people don’t know?
My superpower is knowledge of 90s song lyrics.
What is your trademark expression?
“Sorry I can’t. We have baseball.”
Besides the Bible, what is something you’d recommend someone to read?
Everybody
Always
by Bob Goff
What are you most excited about?
I’m most excited to get to be a part of the very ministry that has played such an integral part in my spiritual walk, and to be able to love and pour into women just like people have loved and poured into me.
What do you like to watch on TV?
I am a sucker for medical dramas and Sweet
Magnolias
is also a current fav.
What do you do in your free time?
We spend a lot of time at the baseball field with the two boys. I also LOVE to play board games and spend time with my friends!
