About Your Family
I have been married to my wife, Annie, since December 2021. We have one little boy, Shepherd, who was born in May 2023.
What’s your story?
Growing up, God surrounded me with lots of people who were walking with Jesus. My family raised me in local churches, but it wasn’t until 7th grade at a summer camp that Jesus showed me that He is the only Savior—that His sacrifice made the way for me to be in right relationship with God. I had spent a lot of time trying to please others and be the “perfect” kid. I finally recognized that I was a sinner and only Jesus’s blood could wash me. After that summer, God’s grace gave me new life and new desires.
I majored in Business at Texas A&M, and out of college felt a specific call to “love the least of these” (Matthew 25:40). For me, this looked like teaching 6th grade math at a school in Nashville, Tennessee. Along the way, I met my wife, Annie, and she and I taught across the hall from each other for 2 years. Today, I love that I get to teach God’s Word and share His hope with students in Flower Mound. If you’re reading this, reach out at my email and I would love to hear your story!
What’s something about you most people don’t know?
I grew up in RockPointe Student Ministry! I was here from my 7th grade year until I graduated from Flower Mound HS in 2017. I went on a lot of the same mission trips that students still take today—New Orleans, Belize, and more.
What is your trademark expression?
Wait, wait, so… *asks another question*
Besides the Bible, what is something you’d recommend someone to read?
Letters to the Church by Francis Chan, Humility by Andrew Murray, Money Possessions and Eternity by Randy Alcorn, When People are Big and God is Small by Edward Welch. Okay I’m done, but these have all changed my life!!!
What are you most excited about?
The Bible. God uses it to bring crazy Truth to our world!
What do you like to watch on TV?
Whatever Annie wants to watch! Lately it’s been The Chosen, or an old spy show called Alias.
What do you do in your free time?
Adventure and play with my family, read a good book, or work out/play basketball.
