My Family:

After dating as high school sweethearts for 6 years, my husband Kevin and I were married in 1996. In 2000, we were given the opportunity to move from where we grew up in the suburbs of Chicago to Texas, and we absolutely love it. We have 5 children (Adelaide, Aidan, Audrey, Aynslea and Asia) who keep the house full of conversation and activity, and we have a handful of cats that I enjoy very much.

My Story:

Although I was raised in the church, I didn’t accept Christ as my personal Lord and Savior until I was 15 years old. The youth group at that church had a small window of integrity, and my husband and I ‘happened’ to fall right into that time frame. I feel handpicked by God when I look at the life of that youth group. Before us, it was wheels off, lacking light and godly leadership, and after us it was completely dead. But while we were there, the Gospel was shared and godly teaching was a priority, and I gave my life to Christ during a very memorable fall retreat.

Something Most People Don’t Know:

Both my parents are only children so I have no aunts, uncles or cousins.

My Trademark Expression:

(the current expression) “It’s gonna be great!” (around the house) “Don’t stand while eating!” (puts crumbs on the floor)

I don’t often have control of the remote, but when I do I enjoy “Death in Paradise” (a British murder mystery show).
