Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, you will be able to:

  • Share the redemptive narrative of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation
  • Share your testimony/story and walk someone through the steps of salvation 
  • Be a disciple maker that makes disciple makers
  • Share about God’s nature, His purpose, and how He uses ordinary people to bring glory to His name 
  • Lead a Bible study/be a better Bible teacher  
  • Confidently handle pastoral care situations  
  • Utilize your vocation for everyday mission ("missional living") 

Classes meet on Monday nights at Parker Square from 6-9p.
Each semester is broken out below:

  • Story of God - Semester 1

    Anyone who wants to understand their own story must understand the gospel story of Jesus told throughout the Bible. 


    The Story of God, is a 13-week group-discipleship resource exploring the overarching redemptive narrative of the Bible. Traveling chronologically from Genesis to Revelation, this study will remove the intimidation factor and allow participants to discover the story of Jesus on every page of the Bible. This discovery will equip participants to join Jesus in that big story.

    Class cost includes all books, materials, and supplies as well as a group dinner each week.

  • Therefore, Go! - Semester 2

    Therefore, Go! is a 13-week group-discipleship class focusing on the understanding and application of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Through this class you will: 

    • Learn how to be a disciple maker that makes disciple makers.
    • Understand spiritual formation and how to prioritize spiritual disciplines into your daily rhythms (using Practicing the Way course materials by John Mark Comer).
    • Experience opportunities to put your learning to practice in our community, through various "field experiences."
    • Create a personal story timeline to identify where and how God’s hand has been at work throughout your life and use as a tool for sharing the gospel with others.

    Each class includes:

    • Weekly homework review and discussion
    • Live teaching, video teaching, and personal testimonies
    • Prayer and reflection

    Class cost includes all books, materials, and supplies as well as a group dinner each week.

  • Perspectives* - Semester 3

    Perspectives is a 15-lesson discipleship course exploring different aspects of God’s global purpose. The course examines the story of God fulfilling His promises from four “perspectives”— Biblical, Historical, Cultural, and Strategic.


     *Offered to all RPC members as well as other churches in our community. 

    Participation in this class is not dependent on the RPC Academy Program.

  • Systematic Theology - Semester 4

    Systematic Theology is a group discipleship class that offers an in-depth exploration of the core doctrines of the Christian faith. It is systematically organized to help participants understand the relationships between key theological concepts. Through lecture, discussion, and study of Scripture, participants will engage with topics such as God’s nature, Christology, salvation, and eschatology. Participants will be equipped to think critically and biblically about theology in both historical and contemporary contexts.


    *Starting in Fall 2025 


    Class cost includes all books, materials, and supplies as well as a group dinner each week.

  • Pastoral Care & Commissioning - Semester 5

    Pastoral Care & Commissioning is a group discipleship class that equips participants with foundational skills for providing compassionate pastoral care to those in their life. Emphasis will be placed on active listening, empathy, spiritual support, prayer, and field experience opportunities. Additionally, this class will help participants discern their unique calling as Christ followers, guiding them to understand and embrace their God-given purpose in ministry and everyday life. 


    *Starting in Spring 2026


    Class cost includes all books, materials, and supplies as well as a group dinner each week.

Cost per semester is $295 and includes all books, materials, and supplies as well as a group dinner each week.

*Scholarships are available.


Each semester includes some aspect of "field experience" outside of the classroom

for the purpose of practicing what we are learning together.
